Spending a day in D.C.

Hi, everyone! Sorry for being irregular with my posts. I have been keen on writing about my one day trip to Washington D.C. So today I got some peaceful time for sharing my experiences.

D.C. an amazing place! Spending the whole day was not enough, hope I had more days to spend there, but it was fun to visit that place. Me and my family started from home in a car early in the morning. It took us about 5 hours to reach from New York. The climate was just amazing, clouds were in the sky, cold breeze blowing.

First we visited the parliament but was unlucky to go inside, hope I go next time. It was amazing. Then got to see the Washington monument, that time it was under some kinda repairing. Then we visited the Lincoln memorial, it was great to see the former president’s huge statue sitting on a sofa. Then got to see the biggest place of D.C. The White House, it was fabulous, hope someday I get to see from inside. And then we visited the world war memorial, there were statues made of fighter’s of the world war. They seemed so real. In D.C. we got to know about there history and many more things.

The time we spent in D.C. was great and whenever you visit U.S.A you should surely visit D.C.

Hope to hear from you guys about the post.DSC01210

I am leaving for DC today to attend a meeting and lobby on the Hill. It is a beautiful city. I especially enjoy the monuments…no matter that I have visited them before. Great place for reflection.

    1. Yes D.C. is a great city, I couldn’t see much places as I had only 4-5 hours there, but time I had there was great. Thanks for stopping by my post.

  6. DC is one of my favorite places. I worked there, with occasional overseas stints, for 27 years and was dragged away three years ago. I wasn’t ready to leave. I’m glad you liked it.
